From Jim Randall re: "Texas Payday Law"
Below is the link to the “Texas Payday Law.” All employees of MIS Group regardless of domicile are eligible to file a complaint.
http://www.twc.state.tx.us/ui/
The link to obtain information about Small Claims Courts in Texas is below: (This would apply to anything paid through the MIS A/P system.)
Our attorney in Houston feels that the chances of success are much higher on the “Payday Law” side. A claim in Small Claims Court must be filed in Dallas County. Here’s the link.

I am the internal recruiter in the HR Department of a Texas-based Business Partner specializing in technology solutions for mid-sized companies. Currently we have offices in Atlanta, Austin and Houston, with continuing plans for growth and expansion into other markets.
As part of our growth, we are expanding into the Dallas market with plans to add the Sage product suite into to our business solution services offering.
We heard the news about the closure of The MIS Group this week thru Don Zelezny and are working with Don to line up convenient times to speak with each of you about the opportunities available with our firm.
We are a very stable organization with a good reputation. Some reasons to consider speaking to us include:
• 50% year-over-year increase in revenues
• 97% client retention rate, with 42% of our clients referred to us from failed implementations
• Zero outside debt, funded by our own internal and organic growth
• Mandatory continuing product and soft skill education for all consultants
• We have an excellent management team
If you would be interested in learning more you may call me at 713 335-8772 or call or email Don at 972 365-0959 donzelezny@verizon.net. We would love the chance to get acquainted with you. Also, if you want to share my information with others from The MIS Group, please do so.

Updating Contact Info
Important Info From Deborah
Deborah asked me to post the info below regarding insurance and attorney letters:
I was told there are rumors circulating that we'd not cancelled our insurance yet. It sounds like some people did not recieve my email earlier in the week that I sent to zmisall. I, personally, just want to make sure that everyone does know that we cancelled the insurance. Can you do a post on the blog about that so everyone can see it?
Also, I saw the post about a letter from the attorney. The only employees that will receive that letter are those that had any type of receiveable from us. Meaning those that were contractors at some point in time, etc. Otherwise the letter is only going to vendors. Just thought I'd clarify that with the knowledge that I had.
send it to our corporate address. They are still receiving mail until
a change of address is issued.
Also, I am no longer employed as of June 30. I have no access to my
mis mail as of yesterday. As of this morning I still have access to
ADP to approve 401k rollovers, etc. but that will go away soon as well
I'm sure.

Recruiter - Updated -
Friends – Please allow me to introduce you to Charlie Brocato. Throughout the 8 years he and I have worked together I have found him to be one of the most stand-up professionals I have had the opportunity to be associated with. Charlie and I first met when I needed help finding technical/application/project management resources to assist with various implementation projects at the company I worked at prior to coming to MIS. Not only was he a great asset to me in recruiting for open positions, the folks he hooked me up with always spoke highly of how he treated them as individuals throughout the recruiting process. He is familiar with the situation that occurred this week and what we did for a living in our various roles at MIS. I would strongly encourage you to reach out to him as part of your career transition plan. He is an awesome resource for career opportunities as well as other things like taking a look at your resume, offering insight on the market, and negotiating skills. He is looking forward to hearing from anyone that may be interested in how he could help. His contact information and company website are detailed below if you are interested. Best of luck to each of you in your endeavors…
Thanks,
Rob

UPDATE:
One thing I failed to mention last night, Charlie is in Chicago this week sponsoring a charity golf tournament for children with Autism. I just wanted everyone to know in case he is unable to respond to any inquiries this week.
Thanks,
